Your stay at Eco-friendly rebuilt Bunker

Among forgotten bunkers lies a hidden underground gem. Once filled with graffiti, it is now an eco-friendly bunker that has been restored to its former glory using minimalistic décor and natural materials. This bunker lies in a nature reserve that is filled with history.

The host, working with multiple designers, including an expert in restoration, curated a stay in the Vinetaduin, Hoek Van Holland, that won't soon be forgotten. Giving a nod to their past as wartime bunkers, then vacation homes, this bunker is a beautifully redone vacation home that has perfectly integrated the past with the present.

A full kitchen welcomes guests in with a light and airy feeling. Offering the ideal setting for homecooked meals and culinary experiences, the hallway leads underground into the main bedroom. Ideal for a couple or a small family with two children, this one-bedroom bunker, featuring a second box-bed in the living room, offers a peaceful respite from daily life.

Start each morning with a cup of tea or coffee on the furnished terrace, allowing you to view some of the most breathtaking sunrises. Then, embark on a short journey to Hoek Van Holland or a quick metro ride to the center of Rotterdam to explore its galleries, museums, and shops. A short bike ride or walk will transport you to this nearby town. End each day as it began – by watching nature from the lovely terrace as the day winds down.

Bicycling, walking, creating meals in the full kitchen, watching nature, visiting nearby historic sites, lounging at the beaches, shopping, trying the local restaurants, and visiting the available museums.

·      Multiple designers came together to turn this deserted bunker into a work of art using natural materials and natural light. While staying in this remodeled bunker, you can immerse yourself in its history for a night or two.

·      The property boasts a unique history apparent in the "dirt/graffiti" line left in the bunker, which acknowledges the bunker's history. The perfect minimalist look paired with the incredible nature reserve helps create a unique stay in the restored bunker.

·      The nearby town of Hoek Van Holland and the city of Rotterdam offers an incredible spot to spend time with art galleries, museums, parks, and historical spots to explore. The proximity to this charming town is enough to encourage a trip to South Holland at any time.
