Your stay at Evergreen Forest Retreat in Tuscany

Leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life at the gates of this tranquil organic farm. Seated in the heart of the rural Tuscan countryside, this picturesque estate exudes the essence of slow living and sustainability. The romantic, rustic home combines old-world charm with modern environmental practices to create the ultimate escape with none of the traveler’s guilt.

The high beamed ceilings, sturdy walls, earthen terracotta rooftops will transport you to a different era and away from the worries of a modern life. Much of the woodwork, furnishings, and decor throughout the home align with the theme of primitive country living, inviting you to settle in, settle down, and take in the fresh air and wide-open spaces that can only be appreciated away from the noise of the city.

Indulge your inner child and spend your days frolicking through grassy fields, reading a novel under a tree, and feeding your soul while nourishing your body with home-grown, traditional Tuscan fare.

Whether you like hands-on, high-energy activities or slower living, you’ll love this Tuscan countryside estate. Put the organic farm-grown food to use and sharpen your skills by taking an on-site cooking class or making pizza in the authentic wood burning oven. There are plenty of routes to hike or bike around the scenic area and several natural springs and rivers to cool down in. There’s also local horseback riding available.

You can eat family-style wholesome meals on the open-air patio and go foraging for Mother Nature’s bounty on the property for an even richer nature-focused experience. If you like to get your hands dirty, you can pitch in for farm chores and learn what it takes to run an organic, mostly self-sufficient farm.

This beautiful property doubles as a fully-functioning organic farm, feeding guests and enriching your stay even further with the lively sounds of the farm. The area is also incredibly abundant in opportunities to experience and learn art and history. The Tuscan farmhouse itself acts as an art gallery, with owners collaborating with different artists to display their works throughout the home. Every moment of your experience at this Italian countryside estate has been thoughtfully considered, and owners encourage you to call upon their extensive network of holistic wellness practitioners to indulge in self-care and restoration during your stay.

The accommodation price is allowing you the use of the whole property: 9 bedrooms, capacity for up to 20 guests, 5 bathrooms and the yoga room. 100m² indoor space in total and 7 hectars of beautiful organic garden and fields. Once a day cleaning service. Towel, bedsheets are included.

This property is almost completely self-sustaining. Biomass stoves are used to recycle the farm’s agricultural waste to heat the house through the winter months, and solar energy is used to heat the water used for cooking and bathing. Rainwater is used for the toilets and farm, and reverse-osmosis filters supply all of the drinking water. Guests are asked to be mindful of their water usage during their stay because of the long drought season and to reduce water waste.

All of the fruits and vegetables you’ll try at this idyllic country stead are grown on the property using sustainable, organic practices. Because of this, all of the on-site offerings follow the seasons and you’ll try many traditional dishes using whatever is ripe at the time as people have done for the thousands of years prior to the invention of the refrigerator. The farm also produces its own olive oil, fruit preserves, and eggs from the on-site flock. Keeping as much of the produce as local as it can get reduces carbon emissions from transportation, and organic agricultural practices prevent harmful chemicals from being introduced into the local ecosystem.

Social & Community Impact

The owners and operators of the farm are also heavily involved with local farming and artistic communities, forging positive connections and working together in symbiosis.
