Here at Book for the Planet, we aim to connect eco-responsible travelers and hosts.

BOOK for the Planet is not a travel agency but a travel platform that present unique destinations all around the world. We ask no commission and no listing fee for our hosts.

We work on a win-win-win business model: 1. we propose the best price guarantee for travelers 2. hosts receive 100% of the accommodation costs, no commissions and no fees are deduced. 3. together we help a local charity to improve the environment of the destination. 

You always book directly with the host. Our aim is to spend 5% of your accommodation costs to a local charity to positively impact the environment you visit.

You’ll be able to directly book your stay by paying a small 10% Service Fee- 5% supports the sustainment of our platform and 5% goes directly to the local charity you will support. Afterwards, you will have a direct line of communication to a warm and inviting host.

Book for the Planet presents more than 500 properties, and we support more than 50 charities. With the help of the map and the search function, you can search specifically for the accommodation that is of interest to you.

In the section BOOK YOUR TRAVEL of our web site, you can search for properties by using the map but also by using some options you can click to help you narrow down your choices.

Search by map:

Navigate to the region of your choice on the map. You can zoom in and zoom out the map to better view the properties in the region you selected.

We propose a lot of options to be selected to find exactly what you are looking for.

We only present average prices for the properties. To receive an offer from the property for a requested date, you will just need to send an INFORMATION REQUEST to the property. The property will then answer to your request within 48 hours.

When you’re interested in booking one of the listed properties, you will just need to go to the property you like, then enter the number of guests and then click on one of the buttons: INFORMATION REQUEST or CHECK PRICES AND AVAILABILITY.

You will be directed to log in, at which point you can send your request directly to the owner of the property. The owner will respond to your inquiry using our online platform, and you will respond to them also there.

Once the owner has confirmed the final price for your stay, you will be able to confirm the booking through your personal login. You will need to pay within 48 hours the 10% Service Fee to guarantee your reservation.

To confirm your booking, you will need to pay within 48 hours the 10% Service Fee to confirm your reservation. Credit card, Paypal are the forms of payment accepted, and the payment will be always taken in Euros. You will not be charged the 10% Fee until the host confirms your booking. Please remember that the host of the property will only maintain your booking request for 48 hours. After this, you will need to be make a new request again if you are still interested.

Book for the Planet Service Fee payments can be made via Paypal or via credit card. For the accommodation costs, the host will directly inform you how and when the payment will have to be made.

The 10% Service Fee is charged fully when booking the property. Property hosts are not able to adjust this fee as it is transferred directly to the supported Charity (50%) and to Book for the planet (50%).

If you do not pay the Service fee within 48 hours, the host of the property will have to cancel the reservation. You will then be able to make a new request to the property if wanted.


Regarding the payment of the accommodation costs, please note that the terms of payment vary depending on the property booking policy. Namely, as the properties are not owned by Book for the Planet, but by our properties partners, the method of paying the remaining amount depends on the conditions of the partner.

If you need to cancel your booking, please directly contact the property through the communication panel with your login. 

CANCELLATION POLICY INFORMATION:

Each property has its own cancellation policy. By booking the property, you will always need to accept the cancellation policy of the property to confirm the booking.

FOR EACH PROPERTY YOU CAN HAVE A DIFFERENT CANCELLATION POLICY:

STRICT: the accommodation costs will need to be paid within 3 days of the confirmation of the booking. No refund will be possible after payment of the accommodation costs.

MODERATE: 60 days before the arrival, host will have to apply fees in case of cancellation: 50% of the stay will need to be paid in case of cancellation within 60 and 30 days before arrival. By less than 30 days, 100 % will have to be paid to the host in case of cancellation.

EASY: 30 days before the arrival, host will have to apply fees in case of cancellation: 50% of the stay will need to be paid in case of cancellation within 30 days before arrival. By less than 14 days, 100 % will have to be paid to the host in case of cancellation.

RELAXED: 14 days before the arrival, host will have to apply fees in case of cancellation: 50% of the stay will need to be paid in case of cancellation within 14 days before arrival. By less than 7 days, 100 % will have to be paid to the host in case of cancellation.

COVID19: EASY + special Covid19: by presentation of a COVID19 medical attest, a quarantine obligation or in case of a closing of borders, stay can be postponed within 9 months without any additional charges.

PERSONAL: Property own personalized cancellation policy. 

All cancellation fees are managed by the properties. Book for the Planet is not responsible for any cancellations fees that need to be paid.

LIMITATION AND EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY: Please note that, although you have found the accommodation through our web site, Book for the Planet do not take any responsibilities in the booking process and cancelation policy. Therefore, at the time of arranging the booking of the accommodation, you as a guest enter a contractual relationship with our partner who is obliged to provide you with the Service of Accommodation as requested by you, and in terms of its capabilities that we have presented to you.

Book for the Planet do not take responsibility for trip insurance, you should take out your own insurance policy – and if you are planning adventures involving activities, it’s worth checking which ones are covered by your policy.

Book for the Planet is not providing you or the persons accompanying you with travel insurance for the needs of staying in the property.

For each booking you make with Book for the Planet, you will receive reward points. The qualifying booking amount will be converted into Euros, and you will receive one reward points for each euro you paid for the accommodation. You will also earn 500 reward points for each stay review that you will send to us and that we have validated for publishing. 

You will be able to use your reward points for your next accommodation as this: 

1000 points represent a 10 Euros discount.

You can click on “Add to Favourite” (heart symbol) in the left menu column of a holiday property page. This holiday property will then be added to your list of favourites that you can always access through your login.
